An Exploration of Generative AI

I'm a long-time technologist and an aspiring philosopher, brought up with a deep-seated cynicism about artificial intelligence. My perspective was forged by sci-fi classics like 2001: A Space Odyssey, William Gibson's Neuromancer, and Blade Runner—stories that served as cautionary tales about technology's potential to diminish our own humanity.

And yet, while part of me fears the loss of that humanity to the coming tsunami of AI, another part is drawn to the technology. I've been exploring its capabilities in fits and starts. It has become an inexhaustible partner for conducting research, summarizing vast amounts of data, and brainstorming new ideas that might have otherwise remained dormant.

AI has already helped me bring some small ideas to life, including a series of simple apps for kids—my first foray into "vibe coding." You can see the results of this first experiments below, and maybe your kids will enjoy these simple apps.
